FERGUSON LAW PARTNER CODY DISHON TO SPEAK STATE-WIDE ON JURY TRIAL PERSPECTIVES

Cody A. Dishon, a partner in Beaumont’s Ferguson Law Firm, will be speaking to a state-wide group of lawyers as part of the State Bar of Texas’ continuing legal education system. The event, Jury Trials from the Millennial Perspective, takes place October 2, 2020 and is moderated by course directors Kurt Arnold (Arnold & Itkin in Houston), Lisa Blue (Baron & Blue in Dallas), and Robert Hirschhorn (Cathy E. Bennett & Associates in Highland Village). Due to COVID concerns, the event will not be held live in Austin, Texas; rather it will be broadcast across Texas via Zoom.

Mr. Dishon stated, “It was an honor to speak at this event. Jury trials are such an integral part of America’s legal system in so many ways. The community decides the truth in any dispute.” His topic, “Using Technology to Work Up & Present Cases for a Modern Jury”, expresses these ideals.

These ideals have garnered Mr. Dishon real-world success. Earlier this year, he and managing partner, Paul “Chip” Ferguson, obtained a record setting $20,000,000 settlement in a tractor-trailer case. At age 30, Mr. Dishon became one of the youngest in Texas history to become board certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Only 1 percent of the attorneys licensed to practice law in the State of Texas hold Board Certification in Personal Injury Trial Law.
The Ferguson Law Firm maintains its principal office in Beaumont, Texas and continues to fight for victims and their families across Texas and the United States.
