Attorney Tim Ferguson – The Experience of the Ferguson Law Firm
Ferguson Law Firm Attorney Tim Ferguson explains the importance of a trial attorney.
At the Ferguson Law Firm, we actually walk the walk — we don't just talk the talk. We go to the courthouse. We fight. We don't just resolve a case because there's a resolution in front of us. Truly, our approach is: we're going to fight for you, and we're going to be right next to you all the way through — whatever that means — until we get what we believe to be a fair and reasonable resolution for our clients.
I'm really lucky. I'm very blessed. I've been doing this for eight or nine years now, but I've gotten to learn from people who have been doing it for decades. I had, of course, my dad, who has been doing it for forty-something years. I had Larry Hunter, who had been doing it for forty-something years and who is no longer with us. I have Jane Leger, who has been doing it for twenty or thirty years, and Mark, who has been doing it for twenty or thirty years. So you have over a century of experience here at the law firm, and I'm very lucky to have that, to be completely honest with you. I get to learn from them every single day.
And that trickles down to all of our attorneys. We have an open-door policy here — people can go in and out of partner offices and non-partner offices to get advice or bounce ideas off each other. That's not the case at every law firm. Literally, our doors are clear glass. It's inviting: come in and ask me that question. If you've got a problem where you need help, I can go to Jane or Mark or Chip for experienced advice — "Hey, have you ever had this problem?" "Yeah, young man, here's what I've done in the past." All of a sudden I'm getting advice I probably wouldn't get at other places. So I'm very lucky, I'll tell you that. As a firm, we're very lucky that we can lean on people like Chip, Mark, and Jane, who have been doing it for a combined near-century.
