The Ferguson Law Firm has filed an action in Jefferson County state court to obtain a restraining order and conduct pre-suit discovery regarding the March 5, 2025 bus crash on Highway 73 in Port Arthur, Texas. Firm partner Mark Sparks along with attorney Elijah Smith filed the action.

The crash occurred at approximately 4 p.m. on the afternoon of March 5, 2025 as three Hotard buses were transporting plant workers from their jobs. A lead bus slammed on his brakes, triggering a chain reaction. Some 68 workers were transported to local hospitals for emergency care.

Ferguson Law Firm partner Mark Sparks said, “This filing accomplishes two very important things. First, the temporary restraining order preserves evidence from being destroyed. We want no evidence to disappear. Second, the pre-suit discovery allows us to quickly obtain information
about the crash, why it happened and who was involved. From there, we will be well-positioned to ensure that our clients receive full, fair and reasonable compensation.” Sparks added that the law firm represents multiple victims of this collision.

The suit is filed in the 60 th Judicial District Court of Jefferson County, Texas and seeks information from Hotard Coaches, Inc. and All About America! Holdings, Inc.
