Attorney Jane Leger – The Team Approach

Ferguson Law Firm Attorney Jane Leger explains the importance of a trial attorney.

What I really like to talk about the most is the team approach we bring here at the Ferguson Law Firm, starting from the very first call. We have amazing people who work our reception desk and answer the phone. If someone's got a problem, the receptionist will direct that call to our intake department. Our intake specialists are experts at talking with people and finding out what went wrong, what their problem is, and whether they may have a legal remedy for that problem.

Then the case gets assigned to an attorney team — and most times we have more than one attorney. We have paralegals, we have people who handle gathering all the medical records for the treatment our client had, and people who handle the settlements. One of the things I enjoy most is meeting with my clients in what I call a new-client meeting, where I explain everyone's role on their team, so that when they hear from a certain person, they know that team member's job is at the front of their case in that moment.

I think that makes us really efficient here, and our clients enjoy knowing that their case isn't depending on the efforts of just one person — there's a whole team of people coming together to help them.
